This site is hand-coded in XHTML 1.1, using CSS2, with special attention in following coding standards and avoiding deprecated elements. I use the W3C validation engines on all my web pages. I do use tables for layout, but only where absolutely necessary.

For example, notice the header above. This 3-column layout has a center column sized to fit its contents (try changing the text size in your browser). The side columns are collapsible (try resizing your browser window horizontally). This setup makes the layout extremely flexible when displayed on monitors with different resolutions and font sizes. It is also, as far as I know, impossible to duplicate with CSS2.

I hand-code all my web pages using the AceHTML Freeware editor by Visicom Media. I highly recommend this program, and it's free.

Most web page themes, including icons, are adapted from Lotus^® FastSite^©, part of the Lotus^® SmartSuite^© office suite. Lotus SmartSuite is still the best office suite on the market for the home and small office, and you can get the OEM version for about $20. Lotus^® WordPro^© is simply amazing.

This site is hosted by PerformaHost, the best features-for-the-price site I could find. Notice how well the performance of my web site compares with others. Highly recommended, and still only about $8 a month.
